Longwood is a gem of a town. Just 90 minutes north of Melbourne, just off the Hume Highway you will always be greeted with a warm welcome at Longwood.
The local pub oozes with historic charm and has served locals and visitors alike since the mid 1880’s. You will also find an amazing display of gemstones and minerals on offer just up the road at the local museum.
Longwood is the birthplace of Victoria Cross recipient Frederick Tubb – one of three such recipients from the area. A short drive up the road to Euroa and you can Honour our Heroes - Tubb, Burton & Maygar at the VC Memorial Park.
